What is funny, you ask? The same VLBook account works fine on Android but is throwing a fit on an Apple device, app crash. There is a reason for this.
Apple is very strict about what apps are allowed to do with your login tokens. VLBook uses a session token that must be stored in your iPhone’s keychain. So you put in the right ID and password and the app acts like it logged you in and then—bam—it crashes. That’s the classic post-login app crash.
This is because your old login is still stuck in the iPhone Keychain and conflicts with the new one.

1. Tap Settings > Passwords. Look for VLBook. If you find an entry, delete it.
2. Tap Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. If you have some old VLBook profiles or MDM from your institution, remove it and add it fresh.
3. Now delete VLBook this time completely. Reboot your iPhone. Yes, restart actually. slide and hold volume and power.
4. Reinstall from App Store.

Sometimes it’s not you. […] During result season or bulk admissions, VLBook servers go down. If you’ve tried everything and you’re still getting “Error 503” or “Unable to connect to server” just wait.
Check their official Telegram or Instagram page. They post when logins are down. Or try to login on web at vlbook.com on your iPhone’s Safari browser. If you can log in via the web but not through the app, then it is definitely an app issue and not your account. Then you just have to wait for an app update.
And 20x hammering on the login button don’t please. If VLBook detects a large number of failed attempts it will lock your IP temporarily for 30 minutes. Take a breather.

If nothing above worked try this clean slate process in this exact order:
You have offloaded, cleared keychain, checked privacy. Finally, sign out of iCloud Keychain sync for your Apple ID for 2 minutes then sign back in. Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Passwords & Keychain > Sync this iPhone > OFF. Reboot. Switch it back ON. This will force iOS to re-sync the token properly.
